Depression

Depression can feel heavy—like the color has drained out of life and even simple things take more effort than they should. You may feel persistently sad, numb, unmotivated, or disconnected from people and activities you once enjoyed. At times, it can be hard to explain to others—or even to yourself—why everything feels so difficult.

As a Christian counselor, I approach depression with both clinical understanding and a deep respect for your faith. Together, we explore what may be contributing to your depression—whether it’s life stress, loss, burnout, unresolved pain, or patterns of thinking that reinforce hopelessness. Using evidence-based approaches, I help you begin to re-engage with life, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and take meaningful steps forward, even when motivation feels low.

At the same time, counseling creates space to reconnect with the truths of your faith that depression often clouds. Many clients find it deeply reassuring to be reminded that their identity is not defined by how they feel, that they are not forgotten in their suffering, and that God’s care remains constant—even in seasons that feel dark or silent.

You don’t have to carry this weight alone. Counseling offers a place where you can be heard without judgment, begin to experience relief, and gradually rediscover a sense of purpose, connection, and hope.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out. Getting started is simple, and it could be the beginning of real renewal.
